Quick pollution Assignment
- Open Flash by clicking on the Flash Icon on the dock:

- Create a new document. Make sure it is Actionscript 2

- Save (+SHIFT+S) document in work folder Save as dance:

- Create a background layer. Click in Frame 1 of Layer 1 and draw something. Maybe a sky?
- Insert a layer (layer 2) for an object that emits smokes and draw it.

- Lock the background layer before you start to draw on layer 2
- Select the selection tool and click on the name of the Layer in the timeline to select the image

Press F8 to convert image into a Movie Clip
- Double click on the movie clip to edit it. You should see something like this:
- Insert another new layer. Name it smoke
- Lock layer 2 before you start to draw on layer 3
- Click on the fill color and select gray for smoke.
- Open the Color Mixer panel (Window—> Color )
- Set the alpha value to 65% to make the fill transparent.

- Select the brush tool and paint in Layer 3 of Frame 1 a small blob—this will be smoke

- Select the selection tool (V) and select your small blob.
- CTRL+click (Right click) on frame 20 of your smoke layer (you may select a higher frame if you want slower smoke) and select INSERT KEYFRAME (F6).
- CTRL+click (Right click) on frame 20 of your other layers and select INSERT FRAME. (F5).
- In frame 20 of your smoke layer press Q to switch to the Transform tool (V)

- Click on the small blob and move the center point from the center to the bottom of the shape
- Now resize the blob by holding shift and dragging the corner up and to the right
- Select the Sub-selection tool

- Click on the blob and drag the points a bit to get a more interesting shape
- Select the Selection tool (V)
- Click on frame 20 in the smoke layer to hilite/select the frame. Adjust the color mixer so that now the Alpha=0%.

- Click on the name of the layer to select all frames.

- In Properties window select Tween and set it to Shape.

- If you want to, add another keyframe between 1 and 20 and make the alpha higher (this will give you a darker cloud of smoke).

- If you want the smoke to pause before repeating add blank frames (F7) to the smoke layer and extend the other layers (F5) to match.

- Go to Scene 1

- Insert a new layer

- Open your library by pressing +L
- Drag your symbol from the library to frame 1 of the new layer
- Add more images/layers/sounds, etc
- Play movie by clicking +RETURN
